SDI’s 2016 Leadership Retreat in Myrtle Beach, SC was a great event, and attendees said they were ready to “expand their territory.” That includes starting the business they’ve always wanted to, going back to school, and living life on purpose.

Messages from keynote speakers Thursday and Friday inspired attendees to “fight for it.” That meant no matter what happened in your past and no matter what situations arise in life, don’t give up but persevere and get everything God has for you.

There are many testimonials of people whose lives were changed by the messages from the retreat, and one lady name Elle shared hers with SDI. Elle was in Myrtle Beach with her husband and going through a rough point in her marriage. She and her husband had an argument, and Elle decided to leave their hotel room. She was walking and heard the message coming from SDI’s conference room and decided to walk in and listen. Elle said, “I heard the message about expanding your territory and not giving anything to the devil…I realized I was doing that, and I didn’t want to. So, I know that when I leave here, I can go back and fight for my marriage.” As a mom of 10 children, Elle is also working on her college degree. Although she’s faced times of discouragement, she knows she has to keep fighting for it because “the diploma is the doorway I’m going to walk through to help other people,” she said.

Retreat attendees also had the option to attend workshops. The workshops were an opportunity for leaders to network, learn, improve their skills, and ask questions. Workshops included music ministry development, effective church marketing, how to publish a book, and a panel discussion on fatherhood, faith, and legacy.
